Since October 29, 2026, Mathilde Laurent, a lecturer at Lumière Lyon 2 University (France), has been conducting practical classes in Oral Communication Practice for students enrolled in the Philology and Language Teaching programme at the Department of French Philology of Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan. The classes are aimed at developing students’ French speaking skills and enhancing their practical experience in real-life communication.
Particular attention is given to pair and group work, conversations and a variety of communicative tasks. Students are learning to express their thoughts confidently in French, understand spoken language, improve their pronunciation and intonation, while also gaining a closer insight into contemporary French culture and communication traditions.
Practical classes led by an international expert help strengthen students’ language competencies, improve the professional training of future specialists and introduce international educational experience into the learning process. This cooperation also plays an important role in developing academic ties between the National University of Uzbekistan and higher education institutions in France.
