Today, a meeting with foreign students at the National University of Uzbekistan with the participation of relevant officials was organized on the basis of this idea and was dedicated to the priority tasks set by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to prevent corruption.
The round table was attended by Vice-Rector for International Relations Raima Shirinova, Head of the Department for Working with Foreign Students Ulugbek Okhundadaev, Chairperson of the Women’s Advisory Council Rano Rustamova, Head of the Department for Management of the Anti-Corruption “Compliance Control” System Shokhnazar Gulyamov and other relevant officials, as well as foreign students.
Issues such as the performance indicators of foreign students in the first semester, the current educational process, visa extension, and temporary registration were also discussed.
The Head of the Department, Shokhnazar Gulyamov, gave detailed information and recommendations on corruption in the higher education system, their prevention and elimination, and the implementation of the “Sphere without Corruption” project.
Information was also provided on the activities of the “Anti-Corruption Student Youth Club” organized within the Department, the preventive measures being organized, and other initiatives being implemented. The head of the club was introduced to the participants of the event.
During the conversation, the Chairperson of the Women’s Advisory Council noted that in the event of a problematic mental state, female students can contact a university psychologist or doctor.
At the end of the event, Vice-Rector for International Relations Raima Shirinova congratulated the female students on the upcoming holiday and wished them success in their further studies.
