Talented Youth in the Development of Physics: Republican Conference at NUUz

On April 7–8, the Faculty of Physics of the National University of Uzbekistan is hosting a republican scientific and practical conference on the topic “The Role of Talented Youth in the Development of Physics.”

Within the framework of the conference, current issues in physics, existing challenges and priority tasks, as well as ways to address them and the role of young researchers in these processes are being widely discussed. The event brings together scientists, young specialists, master’s students, and undergraduates from the National University of Uzbekistan and other higher education and research institutions of the country, presenting more than 200 scientific reports.

The conference was opened by the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of NUUz, Professor Y.S. Ergashov.

At the plenary session, presentations were delivered by Professor U. Khalilov, Head of Laboratory at the Institute of Ion-Plasma and Laser Technologies of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, on “Selective Growth of Carbon Nanostructures: Insights from Computational Materials Science”; Professor M. Khojamberdiev of the University of Southern Denmark on “Green Hydrogen from Solar Water Splitting over BaTaO₂N”; and M. Mirhaydarov, a second-year master’s student of the Faculty of Physics at NUUz, on “Observational accretion disk around ModMax black hole.”

The conference continues its work in the following sections: astronomy, astrophysics and space research; theoretical physics, nuclear and elementary particle physics; physics teaching methodology; optics and laser physics; semiconductor and polymer physics, as well as nanotechnology.
