Today, one of the important priorities is to promote a culture of reading among young people, increase their interest in literature and creative work, develop independent thinking, and broaden their educational and intellectual outlook.

To this end, spiritual and educational meetings were organized at the National University of Uzbekistan and, at the initiative of the university, at Secondary School No. 24 in the Almazar District. The meetings were attended by the renowned writer, poet, and publicist Tolqin Eshbek.

During the meetings, participants exchanged views on the role of literature in human life and the importance of reading in shaping the worldview and thinking of young people. The writer spoke about his personal and creative experience, his journey into literature, and the process of literary creation.

Held in an atmosphere of sincere dialogue, the events provided students and school pupils with an opportunity to ask questions of interest and share their views on literature, creativity, reading, and spirituality. The young participants were encouraged to read regularly, reflect on the works they had read, and develop independent thinking.

The meetings contributed to bringing the younger generation closer to books and literature, enriching their spiritual world, and encouraging them to engage in creative exploration.

A devoted advocate of spirituality, Tolqin Eshbek was born on June 1, 1963, in Ishtikhan District, Samarkand Region. In 1985, he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan). He currently serves as an associate professor at the National University of Uzbekistan. Readers are familiar with a number of his prose and poetic works, including Jig‘arbandlar, Hayot karvonlari, O‘zbekning yomoni bo‘lmaydi, Boburning gavharlari, and Jadidlar javhari. He is a laureate of the Usman Nosir Prize, a recipient of the national “Golden Pen” Award, and a holder of the “Dustlik” Order.
