A tourism forum was held under the motto “Travel to Farish!”

On June 20-21 of this year, the National University of Uzbekistan organized a tourism forum in the Farish district of the Jizzakh region under the motto “Travel to Farish!.”

Within the framework of this forum, a number of events were held, including a short-term training course on “Ethnographic Tourism” for employees of tourist facilities in the Farish district, a seminar-training on “Topical Issues of Hotel Service and Gastrotourism at Tourist Facilities of Farish-Nurata-Mojrum.”

The event was attended by the leadership of the National University of Uzbekistan, officials of the regional tourism department, the district administration, and representatives of home hotels and catering establishments in the Farish district.

At the seminar-training, Vice-Rectors of NUUz Ravshan Musurmonov, Shukhrat Toshmatov, Jabbor Mukhammadiyev, Yakub Ergashov, Vali Yodgorov, Deputy Hokim of Forish district E.Ummatova, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Akbar Bobobekov, officials of “Ukhum,” “Mojrum,” “Dustlik” mahallas spoke and shared their opinions, suggestions and recommendations about the tourism opportunities of Forish district.

During the event, the participants got acquainted with the activities of guest houses serving ecotourism enthusiasts in the villages of “Mojrum” and “Ukhum.”

Also, songs, lapars, aitys, and examples of oral folk art reflecting the history, customs, and traditions of the Farish district, performed by the creators of the “Bogdon” folklore ethnographic folk ensemble, organized at the Farish District Cultural Center No. 30, aroused great interest among the attendees.
