Prospects for International Cooperation Discussed within the Framework of the GEM Silkway Project

On June 24, Raima Shirinova, Vice-Rector for International Relations of the National University of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Matteo Colleoni, Vice-Rector of the prestigious University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy), as well as professors Maurizio Acciarri and Silvana Stefani.

The meeting was organized within the framework of the “GEM Silkway: Green Energy Management 2025” project. During the meeting, the sides thoroughly discussed the prospects for further development of scientific and academic cooperation between the two higher education institutions.

Based on the experience of the GEM Silkway international summer school, both parties agreed to develop and implement new joint projects in the future. In particular, they exchanged views on conducting joint scientific research in areas such as sustainable development, green energy, environmental management, and climate change, and implementing them on an international scale.

Furthermore, an agreement was reached to train highly qualified specialists in competitive educational fields, launch joint master’s and doctoral programs, expand student and faculty exchange programs, and strengthen academic mobility.

At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to consistently continue this cooperation, elevate it to a new level, and further intensify international scientific and project-based activities.
