Upon the initiative of the “Adolat” Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, an open dialogue titled “Leaders and Youth” was held at the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis. Dedicated to Youth Day, the event was attended by professors and a group of active students from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek (NUUz).

During the meeting, Robakhon Makhmudova, Chairwoman of the Political Council of the “Adolat” SDP, emphasized that youth policy is a priority task of national importance and highlighted the institutional reforms in the sector. Specifically, the core essence of the “Youth of New Uzbekistan — 2030” Strategy, signed by the Head of State on April 20, was thoroughly explained to the students.

Speaking at the event, Tunis Khojiyev, First Vice-Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan, noted that such dynamic dialogues between higher education institutions and the legislative branch serve as a vital factor in enhancing the political and legal culture of students. It was particularly recognized that the intellectually gifted youth of NUUz are leaders not only in science but also in the socio-political life of the country.

During the dialogue, students received detailed answers from deputies and industry experts regarding education quality, employment, and digital technologies. Several proposals put forward by the students were recorded for inclusion in the party’s future action plans and projects.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a guided tour of the Legislative Chamber was organized for the NUUz delegation. Students visited the chamber’s library, museum, and the Plenary Hall, gaining direct insight into the complex processes of drafting and adopting legislation.
