Representatives of the National University of Uzbekistan took part in the conference within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States

On June 25-26 of this year, the first academic conference within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Budapest, Hungary. This prestigious international event was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Innovation of Hungary, the University of Obuda, and the Organization of Turkic States. This conference was aimed at bringing cooperation between the universities of the Turkic space in the scientific and educational spheres to a new level.

It was attended by 18 leading universities from Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, and Hungary, as well as representatives of relevant ministries and the diplomatic corps. Vali Yodgarov, Vice-Rector for Finance and Economic Affairs, and Javlonbek Madatov, Head of the Department for the Organization of International Cooperation, participated on behalf of the National University of Uzbekistan.

Early initiatives and strategic approaches

On the first day of the conference, important initiatives were put forward, such as the creation of a research fund of Turkic states within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, the introduction of “Talent Camps” and “Excellence Scholarship” programs for young researchers, and the expansion of academic mobility based on the CEEPUS model. For the implementation of multilateral research projects between Turkic states, a model was proposed that provides for the participation of universities from at least three countries.

NUUz expressed its full readiness to participate as a partner in the implementation of these initiatives and presented its scientific potential and experience in global cooperation.

Presentation of universities and practical cooperation

On the second day of the conference, the universities further increased mutual interest by presenting their educational and scientific directions, positions in global rankings, and opportunities for cooperation. The presentation of NUUz aroused great interest among the participants and became the basis for new contacts.

Also, among the proposals put forward by NUUz, the concept of the “preparatory stage” was of particular importance.
