National University of Uzbekistan Achieves High Rankings in the “WURI 2026” Global Rating

The results of the globally recognized “WURI 2026: Global Top Innovative Universities” international ranking have been officially released. According to the report, the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek (NUUz) secured the 145th position among the world’s most innovative universities, rising significantly by 26 places compared to the previous year (171st place).

Demonstrating dynamic growth, NUUz also firmly established itself within the TOP-100 global list in several strategic categories:

  • “University Brand and Reputation”78th place;

  • “Visionary Leadership”88th place.

The South Korean WURI (World University Rankings for Innovation) differs from traditional academic assessment systems by focusing on the real-world impact of higher education institutions, their innovative solutions, and social responsibility.

This remarkable achievement is a practical result of the systemic reforms, innovative educational models, and international cooperation initiatives being implemented at the university. NUUz continues to strengthen its intellectual sovereignty and innovative potential both within the country and in the global educational arena.
