Uzbekistan-China education forum

A delegation led by Viktor Anatolyevich Koksharov, rector of the Ural Federal University named after B.N. Yeltsin, visited the National University of Uzbekistan.

 During the meeting, issues such as implementation of joint educational programs for master's, postgraduate and doctoral studies, development of scientific cooperation, in particular, participation in the editorial board of scientific journals, preparation and publication of co-authored publications were discussed.

 At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to form a working group to implement the suggestions and comments, and a Memorandum of Understanding was signed.

The second meeting of the Uzbekistan-China education forum was opened by Liu Iman, the secretary of the working committee on education of the Tianjin city committee, and Inom Madjidov, the rector of the National University of Uzbekistan.

A presentation on education in Tianjin was held during the event. There was talk about proper distribution of resources, promotion of professional education system, opening of "Lu Ban" workshop in Uzbekistan, advanced technological laboratories in Tianjin. Also, all higher education institutions of the republic were invited to participate in the Second World Professional Education Conference to be held in Tianjin.

According to the results of the event, 40 bilateral agreements on various fields were signed between Uzbekistan and Tianjin-based HEIs, and a number of agreements were reached through direct dialogue. The Uzbekistan-China educational forum ended with songs performed by students studying in Tianjin.
