On May 12 — the anniversary of the founding of the Turkestan People’s University (now the National University of Uzbekistan) — a roundtable discussion titled “The Courage of Jadids: The Mirror of the Nation” was organized at the university. The event was dedicated to the life and work of Munavvarkori Abdurashidkhanov, one of the founders of the university and a prominent figure of the Jadid movement.

The roundtable was attended by historians, experts, professors, and students. Participants discussed in detail Munavvarkori Abdurashidkhanov’s leadership role in the Jadid movement, his invaluable contributions to reforming the national education system, and his dedication to enlightening the people. Speakers emphasized that the ideas of the Jadid ancestors serve as a vital spiritual foundation for the development of the New Uzbekistan.

During the dialogue, special attention was paid not only to studying the Jadid heritage but also to its widespread promotion among the youth and expanding the scope of scientific research. Experts presented new data on the lesser-known aspects of Munavvarkori’s life, the textbooks he authored for Jadid schools, and his social perspectives.

At the conclusion of the event, participants shared their reflections and stressed the importance of continuing scientific research in the field of Jadid studies using modern academic approaches. It was noted that such meetings play a significant role in fostering national pride and patriotism among the younger generation.
