University of Natural Sciences

The National University of Uzbekistan cooperates with many European universities, research centers, institutes, higher schools and organizations. Among them, a memorandum was signed with the Czech University of Natural Sciences on March 21, 2007, and various projects are being carried out together.

In November 2023, representatives of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Czech University of Natural Sciences visited NUUz.

The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for International Relations Raima Shirinova, Dean of the Faculty of Biology Tokhtasin Abdurakhmanov and employees of the Faculty of Biology.

Tomáe Subrt gave a comprehensive overview of the Czech University of Natural Sciences and discussed successful projects with the Faculty of Biology.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to jointly publish scientific articles, increase the academic mobility programs of teachers and students, and jointly organize summer schools.


Raima Shirinova, vice-rector for international relations of the National University of Uzbekistan, visited the Czech University of Natural Sciences. It is known that this university was founded in 1906 and ranked 701-710 in the QS ranking and 801-1000 in the THE ranking. In particular, the National University of Uzbekistan closely cooperates with the experts of biology and chemistry of this university.

First, a tour of the university campus was organized by the management of the Czech University of Natural Sciences. The organization of teaching processes in faculties such as topological-engineering and agro-biology was introduced.

Also, with the dean of the Faculty of Economics Šuburt Tomàs and the deputy head of the department, Karel Tomšiklar, the issues of establishing short-term academic exchanges of students in the fields of economics and informatics and ensuring the participation of students of the National University of Uzbekistan in the summer school programs, which are expected to be held in Prague in 2024, were discussed.

Also, in the meeting with Vice-Rector for International Relations Michal Lošťák, it was agreed to start internship processes of professors and teachers in the future, to organize international conferences in cooperation.
