On March 12-14, the III Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan was held in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan. This prestigious event became an important platform for dialogue aimed at further strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, science, and innovation.

The forum took place at the Tajik State Pedagogical University named after S. Ayni. The event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, rectors of leading higher education institutions of the two countries, as well as scholars and experts.

Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan Inom Madjidov and Vice-Rector Ravshan Musurmanov also took part in the forum. In his speech, the rector emphasized that in recent years cooperation between the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek and leading universities of Tajikistan has been steadily developing and strengthening.

Within the framework of the forum, an agreement aimed at expanding academic and scientific cooperation was signed between the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek and the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics.

During the forum, participants discussed reforms being implemented in the higher education systems of the two countries, issues of scientific research and innovative development, modernization of teacher training, expansion of joint educational programs, language policy, and the development of academic mobility. It was emphasized that experience exchange between universities and the implementation of joint educational projects are of great importance in this direction.
