At National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, a large-scale festival of national values was held under the slogan “Glorifying Navruz – Glorifying Humanity” in celebration of the nationwide holiday Navruz.

The event was actively attended by the university administration, staff, guests, professors, and students. The Rector of the university, Inom Madjidov, warmly congratulated everyone on the occasion and expressed his sincere wishes.

The celebration was organized in a festive spirit, enriched with colorful performances and national traditions. In the university dormitories, each faculty showcased the customs, values, and traditions of the regions assigned to them. Students performed in traditional costumes and presented cultural stage performances. The activities were evaluated by a panel of judges.

Additionally, various sports competitions were organized as part of the celebration. Students competed in both national and modern sports, demonstrating their physical fitness and team spirit. Tug-of-war, traditional wrestling, and relay games were especially engaging and added excitement to the event.

Moreover, an exhibition of national dishes was arranged during the event. Traditional foods from different regions were presented to the guests, and students shared interesting information about their history and preparation methods.

One of the most exciting parts of the celebration was the plov championship. Different teams showcased their culinary skills by preparing plov using unique recipes and techniques, striving to impress the judges.

This festival of national values contributed to strengthening young people’s respect for national traditions, as well as fostering a sense of pride and cultural identity.
