It is known that for the last two years the National University of Uzbekistan has been participating in ratings published by a number of international rating agencies. The first step was participation in international rankings such as Green metric, Moscow International University Rankings, Times Higher Education Impact Rankings and QS University Rankings EECA.

In 2020, the university entered the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2020 in five areas: climate change, poverty alleviation, social equality, quality of education and sustainable scientific global cooperation. In 2021, the university participated in this international ranking in 12 areas in more areas than last year, and today it is among the 1000 strongest universities, ranking 801+ out of 1115 universities included in the 1000 best universities in the world.

According to the analysis of the results of last year, in 2020 there were 5 directions, this year – 12 directions. The analysis of the results in the directions also showed that in the direction of “No Poverty” the rating is 401+, “Affordable and Clean Energy” 301+, (Reducing Inequality), “Climate Change” (Smoothing Action) 301+, “Gender Equality”. “401+,” Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure “601+,” Sustainable Society “601+. Scientific research, scientific projects of professors and teachers of the university, as well as the work done in these areas at the university, have increased significantly compared to last year.

The team of the National University of Uzbekistan is awaiting its results in 2021, participating in other world rankings. Systematic and purposeful work is being carried out in this direction at the university. While the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings published today have served as our qualifications and experience, it will take time and sustained effort to enter the most basic rankings, the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and the QS World University Rankings.
