The Faculty of Social Sciences organized a competition for social innovation and creative projects under the motto “Who, if not us?”.
The competition aimed to develop the scientific and creative potential of students, support youth initiatives and ideas, involve them in research activities, and cultivate skills for solving social problems through innovative and creative solutions.
Students from various fields of study—including social work, psychology, philosophy, sociology, law, and national ideology—participated in the event. Participants presented their projects either individually or as a team.
The competition was conducted in three stages:
-
Registration and project submission;
-
Selection stage;
-
Final stage.
The final stage took place on April 24 at the university’s Information Resource Center. During the event, the top projects were defended through open presentations.
Through this competition, participants had the opportunity to propose practical solutions to social issues, promote innovative ideas, and demonstrate teamwork skills.
Projects were evaluated based on the following criteria: Relevance, innovation, practical significance, validity, and presentation skills. Each criterion was scored out of 20 points, totaling a 100-point system.
The most significant aspect of the competition was the fact that the ideas developed by students held not only theoretical value but also practical merit, with the potential for real-world implementation.
At the conclusion of the event, winners were awarded in the following categories:
-
Best Innovative Project;
-
Best Social Project;
-
Best Applied Project.
This competition served as an important scientific and practical platform for increasing the social engagement of youth and fostering responsibility, initiative, and creative thinking.
