Today, on May 15, the “Career Day” job fair was held at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek. This event was held as part of the implementation of priority tasks aimed at ensuring youth employment, effectively integrating university graduates into the labor market, and providing them with decent jobs. The fair became a platform for open dialogue between students, graduates, and employers.
More than 70 organizations and enterprises operating in various areas of the country’s economy participated in the event. They presented hundreds of vacancies, internship programs, and internship opportunities for students and graduates. During the job fair, young people submitted their resumes, interviewed specialists, and got acquainted with the requirements of the modern labor market.
According to information, more than 8 thousand graduates are expected to graduate from the university this academic year. So far, about 60 percent of them have found jobs, which is a significant increase compared to the same period last year. According to the results of the 2024-2025 academic year, more than 96 percent of university graduates were employed, which clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of the systematic work carried out at the university in this regard.
The university is carrying out extensive work through the “Career and Employment Center” to ensure the employment of graduates. In particular, the organization of “Career Day” job fairs, workshops and open dialogues, as well as the establishment of mechanisms for directing young people to vacant positions through digital platforms, is an important factor in the professional development of young people. At the same time, work is also actively continuing to support entrepreneurial initiatives within the framework of the “Step into the Future” program.
Today, the National University of Uzbekistan is recognized as one of the leading higher education institutions not only in our country, but also in Central Asia. Having trained more than 100 thousand highly qualified specialists over its century-old history, the university still plays an important role in training competitive personnel with modern knowledge and practical skills. Most importantly, university graduates enter the labor market not only with a diploma, but also with clear job opportunities and solid professional potential.
