Today, April 24, a creative dialogue dedicated to the activities of the Journalism Department branch was held in cooperation with the National University of Uzbekistan and the “Yoshlar” TV and radio channel. The event was opened by Shuhrat Toshmatov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, who emphasized the significance of implementing Presidential decrees regarding the improvement of professional training in the field. Furthermore, Elyor Tulaganov, Director of the “Yoshlar” Creative Union, and Mahliyo Mirsoatova, Head of the Journalism Department, shared their insights on students’ first steps in the media space and issues of industry integration.

The meeting was attended by Shuhrat Lakayev, Head of the Education Quality Control Department, and Dustmurod Jomurodov, Head of the Extramural and Distance Learning Department, who noted that the seamless integration of the educational process and practice is a key factor in enhancing student potential. During the event, 2nd to 4th-year journalism students presented their practical activities and original programs produced for leading TV channels such as “Yoshlar,” “Sport,” “Tarix,” and “Nurafshon.”

In the practical part of the dialogue, participants toured the modern studios of the “Yoshlar” TV channel and observed students’ hands-on training sessions in a real-work environment. The activities of the department branch established at the TV channel were also reviewed, and new plans were outlined to further reinforce theoretical knowledge directly within the broadcasting studios.
